Pirate Cinema, by Cory Doctorow

Like "Little Brother" and "Homeland," this book suffers from lengthy didactic asides, but this is also a cool story about a kid who has to run away from his home in northern England after his illegal download habit leads the government to shut down his family’s Internet (this story also takes place in a very plausible very-near future). Once he’s in London he discovers the world of squats and their attendant parties, dumpster diving (“skip hopping”), rebel film screenings, and of course governmental oppression via technology.
