The Hole, by Oyvind Torseter
A mostly wordless picture book about a person who moved into a new apartment and finds a hole inexplicably in his wall. But the hole is actually drilled into the pages of the book itself, so the hole appears to move around, much to the concern of the occupant. He eventually captures it in a box and the hole transmutes into facets of the background illustrations, a stoplight, a nostril, a balloon. Charming, funny, and intriguing.
