What Makes A Baby by Cory Silverberg

A really compelling picture book that kind of explains “the birds and the bees,” but is more interested in leaving space for individual stories, especially a variety of queer or trans narratives. For example, the author says that some bodies have uteruses, and some bodies have testicles, but he doesn’t ascribe a gender to any of those parts, nor does he imply that there is any specific way that a sperm and an egg have to come into contact. Preschool and up.
