The Sissy Duckling, by Harvey Fierstein
A fairly standard story about how it’s okay to be different, starring a feygeleh duckling named Elmer. When his sportsy father gets injured by a hunter during migration, Elmer’s homemaking abilities keep them healthy and comfortable all winter. The best part is at the end, where everyone promises not to called Elmer a sissy anymore and he tells them that he is, in fact, a great big sissy and proud of it. Preschool and up.
